Australian Open’s NFT Initiative Faces Challenges

The Australian Open’s NFT program, which allowed fans to purchase digital representations of tennis balls linked to specific court locations, has seen a significant decline in value. Initially launched in 2022, the NFTs have reportedly dropped up to 90% in value. Tennis Australia has shifted focus to other digital ventures, leaving the NFT project inactive since 2023.
